Dires for Development
An Ethiopian Charity specialized in social programs for people with a disability. It is their mission to combat poverty and inequality for people with all kinds of disabilities. Their main focus lies on sports, culture, and entrepreneurship. Dires takes responsibility for the management of all activities in Ethiopia. The Ethiopia Deaf Experience is a department of Dires and is managed by Deaf people themselves. For more information look at their website:

The Long Trail
A social enterprise based in The Netherlands specialized in Community Based Tourism and Social Community Development. The organization is founded in 2020, but through several predecessors they have been active in Ethiopia since 2013. The founder of The Long Trail has Deaf parents himself and is very much involved with this target group. Together with Dires for Development they have developed the activities in Ethiopia and support it until today. For more information visit their website.

Johan Wesemann Fonds
The JW Charity fund is an official Charitable organization from The Netherlands. It is founded by mr Johan Wesemann, a well known advocate for Deaf rights and emancipation for Deaf people and people with a disability all over the world. He has set up the fund to support nonprofit charitable activities for Deaf people and people with a disability worldwide. The JW Charity fund manages and administrates donations for the Ethiopia Deaf Experience.
